Fmoc-PEG-DSPE conjugates an Fmoc-protected amino group to a DSPE lipid anchor through a polyethylene glycol spacer. The Fmoc group in Fmoc-PEG-DSPE provides temporary amine protection during synthesis and can be removed under mild basic conditions. Fmoc-PEG-DSPE is particularly suitable for solid-phase peptide-lipid conjugate synthesis and the construction of functionalized liposomes requiring controlled peptide elongation.
